Mark Halperin, in a recent interview with Mitt Romney, questioned the former Governor about spending cuts. He said “you (Mitt Romney) say you’d cut spending a lot more than the President has…. You have a plan, as you said, over a number of years, to reduce spending dramatically.  Why not in the first year, if you’re elected — why not in 2013, go all the way and propose the kind of budget with spending restraints, that you’d like to see after four years in office?  Why not do it more quickly?

Romney replied “Well because, if you take a trillion dollars for instance, out of the first year of the federal budget, that would shrink GDP over 5%.  That is by definition throwing us into recession or depression.  So I’m not going to do that, of course.

Romney completely debunked Paul Ryan, Republicans and Conservative Austerians. Romney has exposed what all of America has known about Republican economic theory, it is a complete and absolute lie fabricated to defeat President Obama at the expense of the nation and all its citizens. We are in a liquidity crisis and the downward spiral cannot be turned around unless government steps up and becomes the spender of last resort. It worked during the Great Depression and it will work today. Romney is a Keynesian and Paul Krugman has been right all along. It will be interesting to observe how Boehner, McConnell, and Ryan spin reality this time. All who saw the Mark Halperin interview and have any knowledge of economics, your jaw must have drop to the floor after that answer. America take note, you are being hoodwinked by the Republican Party at your expense. The politicians in the Republican Party do not deserve to be Representatives of the people and members of the government. The Republican Party has broken their oath of office and all of them should be impeached. America remember the Republican politicians are not fulfilling their constitutional duty to form a more perfect union and do not deserve to remain in office. It is too important for America to allow the Republican Party to play these evil games for power when America is competing in the Global Economy for survival, especially during this time in history.
